High School Students
Thank you for your interest in a student experience at Catawba Valley Health
System. At present time, we are deferring student requests until further notice.
At CVHS, high school students have many opportunities to learn about exciting
careers in healthcare through observation experiences and unpaid internships
that are required by various high school programs such as Allied Health,
Health Career Internships and the North Carolina Graduation Project (Senior Project).
To apply for an educational experience at CVHS:
- Contact the health occupations teacher, senior project coordinator or the
program coordinator at your high school for approval.
- Go to the Educational Affiliation Agreement (EAA) link to verify that your
school has an Educational Affiliation Agreement (EAA) with CVHS. If your
school is not listed, follow the EAA request process outlined on the EAA page.
- If an EAA is current, go to the Educational Experience Request Form link,
and complete the process. Allow up to four (4) weeks to process.
This request form is for individual requests only, not for group requests.
Group requests must be coordinated between the school contact person and
the Student Program Coordinator at CVMC. If you have any questions, please
call 828.326.3576.
These opportunities are for education purposes only. At this time, we cannot
accommodate requests that are for personal career exploration.
