About
Prior to completing his residency at the Akron General Medical Center in
family medicine, Dr. Faruque completed his medical degree at Northeastern
Ohio Medical University.
He is board certified in family medicine and is a member of the American
Academy of Family Physicians and the North Carolina Academy of Family
Physicians. He has held numerous positions including Piedmont Health Alliance
Board Medical Director and board member, Catawba Valley Health Services
President and board member and Chairman of Physician Affairs at Frye Regional
Medical Center.
Dr. Faruque has clinical interest in chronic disease management and preventive
care. While he is away from work, Dr. Faruque enjoys camping, hiking,
snowboarding, canoeing, reading, gourmet cooking and spending time with
his family.
