Dr. Sean Pacholec is a board-certified hospital medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to hospitalized patients. He earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Bradenton, Florida, and completed his residency training through Florida State University at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Before joining Catawba Valley Medical Center, Dr. Pacholec served as an intensivist at Caldwell Memorial Hospital, where he managed critically ill patients in the ICU. His clinical work included ventilator management, performing procedures such as central line placement and intubations, and leading care for complex medical cases.
In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Pacholec has conducted research focused on identifying risk factors and biomarkers related to COVID-19, contributing to the evolving understanding and treatment of the disease. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and actively serves on the Sepsis Committee at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Pacholec enjoys hiking, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with his wife and two children.
