Dr. Scott Sledge is a board-certified internal medicine physician who has practiced hospital medicine exclusively since he moved to Hickory, NC in 1999. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia with a degree in biology. In 1996, he graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. While there, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Sledge completed his residency program in internal medicine at Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He has been a hospitalist at Catawba Valley Medical Center since 2008. He is a Fellow in the Society of Hospital Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the North Carolina Medical Society. In his spare time, Dr. Sledge enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and mountain biking.
