Heather joined AWV in 2023 after completing the midwifery program through East Carolina University. Prior to becoming a midwife, she was a labor and delivery nurse at Catawba Valley Medical Center since 2017. Heather is passionate about patient centered care and building collaborative relationships with patients and their families. Her ultimate goal is to educate and empower her patients to make the best choices regarding their health leading up to, during, and after pregnancy.
While not working, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 children, and a house full of pets (6 dogs and 1 cat). She loves reading suspenseful books, any activity that involves being in the water, and riding rollercoasters as often as possible.
