Prior to becoming a midwife, Carrie was a labor and delivery nurse for more than a decade. She is passionate about midwifery and provides woman-centered, holistic care. In addition to providing support during pregnancy and postpartum, Carrie also provides gynecologic care for women throughout the many stages of their lives.
Outside of work she is kept busy with her active, outdoorsy family.
Before receiving her Master of Science (MSN) at East Carolina University, Carrie received her Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse through the NC Board of Nursing and as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) through the American Midwifery Certification Board.
