Dr. Koscheski has been in practice in Hickory since 1991. He founded Gastroenterology Associates with Dr. John Meier in 1996. Dr. Koscheski received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma and his medical degree from Louisiana State University, where he completed his residency and fellowship. He is board certified in gastroenterology and is a Master of the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Koscheski completed two terms for the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) as Governor for the State of North Carolina.In 2018, he received the William D. Carey Award from the American College of Gastroenterology in honor of his years of distinguished service to the Board of Trustees and the College, including leadership positions, participation in educational efforts, and committee service.
Dr. Koscheski also served as a member of the North Carolina Colorectal Cancer Roundtable.
He is President of the Digestive Disease National Coalition.
Dr. Koscheski has been selected by his peers to the “Best Doctors in North Carolina” list.
