Brian Adair, MD

Dr. Brian C. Adair specializes in anterior segment surgery, including small-incision cataract surgery with advanced technology intraocular lens implants. His clinical expertise also includes surgery of the eyelids and external eye, pterygium surgery, and strabismus (muscle) surgery, as well as medical management of glaucoma. In addition, Dr. Adair provides comprehensive eye care, offering complete eye examinations and prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses. He is affiliated with Catawba Valley Medical Center and Ashe Memorial Hospital and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Adair is an active member of the North Carolina Medical Society, York County (SC) Medical Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the North Carolina Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his medical education at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, followed by an internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY, and residencies at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital.
