A native of Williamsburg, Virginia, Dr. Gonzalez completed her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She completed her residency at the University of South Carolina in family medicine,
She serves as the Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Family Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine and shares her love for family medicine by teaching medical and nurse practitioner residents and students.
Dr. Gonzalez is a proud mommy to three children, Sydney, Bryan and Aaron. Her husband, Michael, is a pediatrician in Valdese.
While she is not working, Dr. Gonzalez is a Girl Scout troop leader, as well as a soccer, football and basketball mom. She has completed eight triathlons, many 5Ks, a few 10Ks, four half-marathons and charity cycling rides.
