Abigail Eckard earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Studies from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2019. During her time there she was actively involved in the A Cappella Choir for 4 years. She attained her Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2022 from the Medical University of South Carolina and is a Board Certified Physician Assistant. She has a passion for providing healthcare, being an advocate for patients and empowering them to better their health. Abby joined Catawba Valley Family Medicine - South Hickory and currently sees all patients 5 and up. She grew up in Morganton, NC, but recently moved to Newton with her Husband, Neil and Maine Coon, Pepper. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA). During her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing anything Mario related, game nights, and spending time with her family.
