Catawba Valley Health System is proud to announce that we have received Echocardiography reaccreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). Echocardiography is imaging of the heart in order to see blood flow through the heart and heart valves.
“You and your staff are to be commended for demonstrating your facility’s pursuit of excellence in documenting quality patient care in the field of Echocardiography,” said Susan Jensen, RDCS, Senior Clinical Specialist-Echocardiography with IAC.
This achievement, along with the opening of the hospital’s new heart center, shows CVHS’s dedication toward providing comprehensive heart care. The new heart center is designed to support patients who have experienced a cardiac-related emergency by consolidating services into one designated area so that life-saving care can be administered more efficiently. The newly constructed area will support a decreased length of stay for patients, improve safety for staff and patients, and better accommodate the population of Catawba County.
