Catawba Valley Health System, in partnership with Urgent Care of Mountain View, held an official ribbon-cutting on July 8th for a new location in the Belle Hollow shopping center in North Hickory. The partnership also recently opened a location in Sherrills Ford in April of this year.

“Expansion into Urgent Care is a key piece of our growth strategy,” said Dennis Johnson, CVHS president and CEO. “Urgent Care of Mountain View is the perfect partner because of its sterling reputation for providing fast, efficient and professional care with quality and compassion.”

He added that if a patient’s needs go beyond what urgent care provides, Catawba Valley Health System, its medical center and its 25 primary and specialty care practices will partner to provide that extended care.

Urgent Care of Mountain View has been providing fast, affordable, and professional care with a personal touch to the Mountain View community since 2011 and has four existing locations in Hickory, Morganton, Newton, and Taylorsville. Specializing in the treatment of illnesses and injuries, they offer comprehensive Occupational Medicine and Workers’ Compensation services including drug screens, X-rays, DOT physicals, TB testing, and more, supporting both small and large businesses alike.

Brian Bechtol, CEO of Urgent Care of Mountain View, said, “We are excited to partner with Catawba Valley Medical Center. Partnering with them will allow urgent care to expand its footprint to meet the better needs of the community in the greater Catawba Valley region.”

The address for the new North Hickory location is 3022-A North Center St, Hickory, NC 28601. The phone number is 828-330-2103.
