Our Providers manage acute and chronic illnesses, treat acute injuries, perform minor office surgeries and, when necessary, refer you to an appropriate specialist. After-Hours Care Options

To speak with a Catawba Valley Family Medicine provider afterhours, please call: 828.324.0258. This service provides direct access to the on-call provider, not a triage phone line, to increase access to care and is intended for medical questions or concerns. Please call 911 if you are experiencing a medical emergency.

Medical issues can strike at any moment and you’re primary care physician may not always be available to look after you right when you need them. When this happens, you can receive the medical attention you need at a Catawba Valley Extended Hours clinic.

Catawba Valley Health System currently operates two extended hours clinics:
Catawba Valley Extended Hours – Maiden – This clinic is open Saturdays from 9am to 1pm. No appointments are necessary.
Catawba Valley Extended Hours – Claremont – This clinic is open Mondays from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

Urgent Care facilities offer a convenient option for injuries and illnesses that aren’t quite serious enough for the ER but still prompt you to seek a doctor’s care.

Catawba Valley Health System currently operates two Urgent Care clinics:

Elizabeth D. Restino, M.D., attended West Chester University in West Chester, PA, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/Biology. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2001 and completed her training in Family Practice at The Washington Hospital in June 2004. Dr. Restino is board certified in Family Practice. She looks forward to settling in Denver, NC, with her husband and two young children.

Katherine Dempster, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician and is licensed by the State of North Carolina Board of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies in Social Work and Psychology at Roberts Wesleyan College where she graduated summa cum laude and later received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Liberty University in 2019. She is originally from Herkimer, NY, and is excited to serve patients of all ages in the community surrounding Sherrills Ford, NC, with the goal of positively affecting health outcomes across generations of families. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, and playing tennis.

Miles Saenger is a board-certified Physician Assistant and is licensed by the State of North Carolina Board of Medicine. He received his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Gardner-Webb University in 2020, and maintains active membership in the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA). Miles is originally from Hickory, NC, and completed his undergraduate studies in Exercise Science with a minor in Gerontology at Appalachian State University where he graduated with honors in 2015. In his free time, Miles enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, hiking, traveling, and a variety of sports.

A native of Lilburn, Georgia, Rebecca received her Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Georgia. She completed her medical training at Gardner-Webb University, earning a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. While active in the Student Government Association, she was awarded the NCAPA Student Endowment Grant.

Rebecca Stolorena is a board certified Physician Assistant and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA).

Outside of work, Rebecca and her husband enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time outdoors cycling, playing tennis and rock climbing.
