Catawba Valley Imaging Center (CVIC), a service of Catawba Valley Medical Center, provides diagnostic x-rays, CT scans, ultrasound imaging, total body bone density scans, mammography, MRI and nuclear medicine for those who can receive their tests as outpatients. Equipped with totally digitalized technology, CVIC is dedicated to patient comfort and easy access to services. The office can be reached by phone at 828.732-6650; the office hours are from 7am to 5pm. Monday through Friday.

Catawba Valley Imaging Center was awarded a three-year term of accreditation as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and a provider of nuclear medicine as the result of an extensive peer evaluation program offered by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic-interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists and nuclear medicine and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.

Now Offering 3-D Mammography

We offer screening and diagnostic tools designed for early breast cancer detection that can be performed in conjunction with a traditional 2-D Digital mammogram. 3-D technology has been shown in clinical studies to be superior to digital mammography.
