Community Cancer Resource Center

VolunteerCatawba Valley Medical Center’s Community Cancer Resource Center, with its primary location on the lower level of the new pavilion, provides a respite and a source of information for patients, families and friends of those with cancer. The Community Cancer Resource Center is stocked with brochures, and magazines on various cancer related topics. Patients and visitors may relax and review printed materials or search for information on the Internet. The Resource Center is open weekdays from 8:30am to 5pm.

These staffs provide assistance in locating area support groups and programs for cancer patients. A database of cancer resources, including sources for mastectomy supplies, ostomy supplies, wigs and other medical equipment, is available for visitors in our My Journey Begins Here notebooks. Information about community programs and services to assist the cancer patient with paying for treatment, obtaining supplies and transportation are also in the notebook.
