CVMC Announces Collaboration with MDsave to Provide Screening Mammograms at Reduced Costs for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Catawba Valley Medical Center (CVMC) announces its collaboration with MDsave to make preventive care more accessible and affordable to the Catawba Valley area. Together, CVMC and MDsave will reduce the cost of 3D screenings to $149.

This collaboration is specifically for people without insurance, people with a very high deductible plan, or people without insurance coverage for screening mammography. The price includes everything associated with the screening mammogram – facility and physician fees for one set price, no surprises.

During the month of October, which is national Breast Cancer Awareness Month, patients can purchase a voucher for a screening mammogram. Vouchers are available to anyone concerned about out-of-pocket costs and remain valid for six months. Purchases can be made at www.mdsave.com/catawba-valley-medical-center or by calling (888) 639-8603.

"We understand the importance of preventive care, and we are proud to work with MDsave to provide patients the opportunity to take proactive steps in their health with our mammogram promotional campaign," said Lindsay Runion, CVMC director of mammography. "By taking advantage of this campaign, patients can make sure they get the care they need at affordable prices.”

Patients can contact MDsave’s in-house customer support team for assistance. Spanish-speaking customer support is also available. Call 844-256-7696. Assistance is available Monday–Friday from 7am to 5pm CT.
