HICKORY, NC – January 4, 2016 — Catawba Valley Medical Group (CVMG) announced today the addition
of primary care physician Amanda Bailey to its family medicine practice
located in Claremont. Dr. Amanda Bailey graduated from West Virginia School
of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006 and completed an internship and residency
with the Altoona Regional Health System in Altoona, PA. She is board certified
in Family Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians
and has over a decade of experience practicing family medicine. Dr. Bailey’s
diverse experience includes military service in the United States Air
Force. She was honored to receive a Meritorious Service Medal while serving
as a Major at the 42nd Medical Group at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery,
AL. Most recently, Dr. Bailey worked at Mercer Medical Group in Princeton,
WV where she also chaired its Department of Family Medicine. Her active
participation in numerous humanitarian efforts includes healthcare missions
to South America and community outreach programs treating patients with
limited or no access to medical care in her local community.
