HICKORY, NC – July 2, 2013 –
Catawba Valley Medical Group has announced the July 15, 2013 opening of
Catawba Valley Family Medicine (CVFM) – Mountain View, the organization’s 10th family practice. The facility is located
at 2712 South NC 127 Highway in Hickory, and will serve as the practice
for Christopher Witke, M.D., who is transferring from CVFM – Viewmont.
“The move is coming about for two major reasons,” said Dr.
Witke. “Ensuring that there are practices located throughout the
region to offer convenient locations for medical care and providing an
updated location to meet the needs of our patients.”
The newly re-modeled building has accessible parking, a drop-off area and
an entrance located near the intersection of Highway 321 and Highway 127.
The waiting area includes a child’s play section, and procedure
rooms are larger for more patient comfort. There are also three pharmacies
within walking distance of the practice.
CVFM – Mountain View office hours will be 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday
through Friday. Patients are encouraged to schedule appointments by calling
828.330.0511.
Dr. Witke’s current patients will be seamlessly transferred to the
new location, as medical records will be instantly accessible. However,
current patients choosing not to transfer to the CVFM – Mountain
View location should contact the CVFM – Viewmont office, by calling
828.324.1699, to arrange for Shane Summers, M.D., or Mary Ference-Valenta,
D.O., to take over as their healthcare provider.
