CVMC TO OFFER DRIVER SAFETY CLASS FOR OLDER ADULTS

HICKORY, NC –Catawba Valley Medical Center will be hosting the AARP’s Driver Safety seminar on Tuesday July 24, from 12:30 pm to 5:00pm, at the Health First Center in Valley Hills Mall.

Tailored to drivers age 50 and older, this refresher course includes a review of current driving laws, defensive driving techniques, and tips on how to accommodate age-related physical changes. Attendance may qualify participants for lower insurance rates.

The cost for the course is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. This session also includes a special promotion for all educators and school personnel who may enroll in the class for just $5. Payment may be made in the form of cash or check addressed to AARP.
