CVMC Auxiliary Announces Scholarship Recipients

The auxiliary gives the awards for the annual Slemp/Volunteers Health Career scholarships to students in area high schools. Funds are generated primarily through the hospital gift shop, operated by the auxiliary. The scholarship is named for long-time hospital volunteers Willie and Frances Slemp.

Eligible students must be graduating with a grade of C plus or better and plan to study for a health care career. Financial need is a consideration.

Applications are available in each area high school counselor’s office. For information, call the hospital’s volunteer services department at 828-326-3434.
