Combining our Resources
As women, we understand that by working together we can make a difference
in our community. Women in Philanthropy is a shining example of the philosophy
of combined giving. By coming together as a group to pool our financial
and creative resources, we can make a larger impact in the Catawba Valley
on crucial healthcare needs at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Focusing
solely on the needs of CVMC also allows us to have a greater impact by
narrowing the choices for us. We can add our annual donation of $500 into
one larger pool and focus on purchasing healthcare items that are needed
but not always covered by regular budgets. Check out our

How it Works
Business
Two business luncheons annually, one Spring meeting to hear reports on
grants previously awarded and one Fall meeting to hear grant requests
from CVMC personnel.
Social
Generally two events a year, ranging from wine-tastings, art crawls, spa
evenings and other fun happenings.
Why it Works
While the power of one is important, the power of many can help change
lives. Ensuring quality healthcare for our entire community is an important
goal, and together we can make things happen. Combining our $500 annual
donations gives us greater spending power. Together, we can do more for
CVMC than we can do on our own. Together, we can make a real and lasting
