WellBusiness
The
WellBusiness program recognizes Catawba County workplaces that are committed to improving
employee health and wellness. This recognition program was developed from
a review of evidence-based worksite wellness activities and guidelines
from existing efforts by:
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
- United States Preventive Services Task Force
- The United States Department of Health and Human Services Community Preventive
Services Task Force’s evidence-based practice resource, The Community Guide.
Eligibility
Companies eligible to apply for
WellBusiness designation do not have to be headquartered in Catawba County, but they
must employ part of their workforce in Catawba County. It is recommended that companies applying for
WellBusiness designation have an active or developing worksite wellness plan or program
already in place.

Designation Levels
Eligible companies meeting
WellBusiness standards may achieve one of three award designation levels: Bronze, Silver
or Gold. Certifications will be awarded as follow:
