Prior to joining Catawba Valley Cardiology in January 2014, Dr. Ritter
practiced Interventional Cardiology in Wilmington, DE for 25 years. Dr.
Ritter received a BChE with honors from the University of Delaware and
his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University
in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his medical internship and residency
at the Medical Center of Delaware, and was Chief Medical Resident in 1986.
Dr. Ritter completed his Cardiology fellowship at the Lankenau Hospital
in Philadelphia, PA. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular
Disease, and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a fellow
of the Society of Coronary Angiography and Interventions, and is NASPE
certified. Dr. Ritter has been a principle investigator in several clinical
trials. Dr. Ritter performs cardiac catheterizations, coronary angioplasty
and atherectomy, and coronary stenting. He also performs peripheral vascular
procedures, and is certified to implant Amplatzer closure devices.
