A North Carolina native, Dr. Leonard earned his medical degree from the
University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill before
serving in the military 23 years. He was an active duty General Medical
Officer prior to practicing medicine in the National Guard and Reserves
at military bases in Okinawa, Japan, California and Germany. Dr. Leonard
is an avid researcher and has participated in over 16 pharmaceutical studies
related to treatments for a range of conditions including, but not limited
to strep, ear infection, diabetes, high blood pressure and migraines.
He completed his family practice residency at Duke/FAHEC in Fayetteville,
NC in 1988.
