Dr. Brian Steg was a co-founder of Hickory Cardiology Associates, where
he worked from 1983 to July 2011. He earned his medical degree from Case
Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and his Bachelor of Arts
from the College of Wooster. He completed his fellowship, residency, and
internship at Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
He is boarded by the American board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine
Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Steg is a fellow of the
American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, American
College of Chest Physicians, and is a fellow of the Society of Coronary
Angiography and Intervention. Dr. Steg performs cardiac catheterizations,
coronary angioplasty, stenting, pacemakers, peripheral vascular angioplasty
and structure for peripheral vascular disease.
